Friday....back to England

We got off the ship in Southampton today at 0730. We had a driver pick us up and take us on a tour for the last day in England. First we drove to Stonehenge.Pretty darn cool. Then we went to a cathedral built in the 1200's. There is also a school next to this church, actually it is a small town. where we ran into a group of boys and girls by the church. We then had a great time traveling a couple hrs in the country side where thatched roof cottages were everywhere. We even saw Stings thatched home. The roads are very narrow. In the country many roads are one lane and you have to pull over to the side of the road to let someone pass. Then we stopped in Lacock for lunch. St. George Inn is where we stopped and ate. This is a small town where many of the Harry Potter movies were filmed. The George Inn is hundreds of years old. The roof and the windows are uneven because of the Inns age. After more country traveling we ended up at Windsor Castle and spent the rest of time there. I'm not sure which was better.... Buckingham Palace or Windsor. We ended up at our hotel at nightfall and had dinner. Really what a great end to our vacation. I can't put into words how beautiful the English country side is.
